Positive: We had a wonderful 10 days in Gite 1. Our hosts greeted us with a warm welcome and were attentive throughout with lots of useful insights into the local area and ideas for places to visit, that we might not otherwise have discovered. The gite was spacious and clean with beautiful decor and lots of thoughtful touches - the popcorn machine and games were a big hit with our kids. The kitchen was well stocked and we were supplied with lovely clean linen, fluffy towels and everything we needed to be comfortable and create a 'home from home'. The pool area was an absolute dream - plenty of sunbeds and pool toys and the whole area was spacious and clean, with a shady seating area, which came in handy when it got really hot. The area outside our gite was fantastic - lots of comfy seating, a large table for eating outside and a separate section for BBQ and hanging wet towels. We also made use of the other seating areas outside our gite, to watch the sunset. Lots of pretty, scented plants around made it a really relaxing spot. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the surrounding area - the local bakery was well stocked with fresh bread/pastries, plus cold cuts, veg, and convenience items, which helped us stay topped up between supermarket shops. During our stay we also made use of the visiting pizza van (delicious) and local 'pub'.
Negative: Having to leave! I can't really find fault with our stay here. For some people it might be too remote a location, but we had a car for the days we did want to explore and were happy to have plenty of days where we enjoyed the slowness of being at the gite and making the most of the tranquil setting.
