Our accommodation is safe, nothing has happened yet, but there is always a first time. Please deposit your valuables in the safe or leave them with Josie. Otherwise, always lock up well and do not leave any valuables lying around in the room, on the terrace or in the hire car. In the evening, please also clear things away from the terrace and, as everywhere else in the world, do not leave valuables unattended on the beach. There are Tourist Police on Mahé who keep an eye on the beach. It's supposed to act as a deterrent. We also offer island hopping to the neighbouring islands of Praslin and La Dique, including ferry bookings and possibly an overnight stay on Praslin. Please do not hesitate to contact me.
We, professionalism and noise We are not a hotel and we are in Africa. Therefore, not everything is always perfect. If something is missing, you can tell us and if something is broken, the repair can take some time - as is typical for the country. But we always endeavour to do our best. You shouldn't be particularly sensitive to noise on the island. The dogs bark or howl in the evening and at night, the cockerels crow or the birds start singing early in the morning - you name it. It's especially nice when the fruit bats fight over a piece of fruit at night, even though the whole tree is full. At the weekend there are parties on the beach, and there doesn't even have to be an occasion. The bass is blaring from the cars - you can't understand the music, but that's just as well. People often honk their horns, which makes us wonder why they are honking - don't ask them, they don't know either. The Creole spoken by the locals actually consists of loud noises and if we think they are arguing - far from it - everything is in the green zone, except for our ears.in Josies Cottage you are in the centre of family life, including celebrations and everything that goes with it.
